DESERT ISLAND - A PLAY - 2014

 

This work lingers in its various phases of production: pre-production (the script), production (the set) and post-production (the sound).

The script is a composite of both fictional and factual desert island narratives, collaging existing texts and documents into a 6-act play featuring a single castaway. The play is founded on the recurrent elements of these borrowed narratives.

The audio is appropriated from the film Castaway (2000), excluding dialogue and only using the sounds of subtle human interaction with the desert island environment.
